Data Protection & Security We are committed to ensuring that your data is secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have implemented suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect online. Additionally, if we collect personal information through third-party services (e.g., Google for calendar setups or customer data), these services are only accessed with your explicit permission.

Use of Third-Party Services (Google OAuth Scopes) Sharkdom integrates with Google Tag Manager (GTM) to let partnership and marketing teams set up partner/affiliate attribution tracking without engineering support. The specific Google scopes we request and why:

  • View your Google Tag Manager container and its sub-components (tagmanager.readonly) used to read your existing container structure (tags, triggers, variables) so Sharkdom can show you which dataLayer events are already firing and let you map them to Sharkdom event types (e.g. purchase, newsletter_submit, trial_start).
  • Manage your Google Tag Manager container and its sub-components, excluding versioning and publishing (tagmanager.edit.containers) used to create or update the "Sharkdom Pixel" tag and any triggers you select, so referral/partner attribution events are captured automatically when those events fire.
  • Manage your Google Tag Manager container versions (tagmanager.edit.containerversions) used to create a new container version containing the Sharkdom tag/trigger changes you've approved.
  • Publish your Google Tag Manager container versions (tagmanager.publish) used only when you explicitly click "Save & Verify Tracking" in the Sharkdom dashboard, to push the approved container version live.

How We Use Google User Data We access and use Google user data solely to provide the referral and partner-attribution functionality you configure:

  • Tag Manager access: We read your container's existing tags, triggers, and variables to present them for mapping we do not modify or publish anything until you take an explicit action (mapping an event, or clicking "Save & Verify Tracking"). We create/edit only the Sharkdom-specific tag and trigger entries needed to fire tracking events, we do not alter unrelated tags in your container.
  • Event data captured: Once mapped, we capture event-level data (event type, referral/partner code, visitor ID, page URL and, where the event includes it, lead name/email/mobile or purchase amount/currency/payment ID) to attribute the event to the correct referring partner and calculate commissions/performance.
  • Calendar access (where used): To schedule, display and send reminders for partner onboarding meetings you create via the platform.
  • Internal improvements: We may analyze aggregated event and usage data to improve attribution accuracy and troubleshoot issues. We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI/ML models and we do not sell this data to any third party.

Sharkdom's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing, Transferring, and Disclosing Google User Data Your Google user data (including Tag Manager container data) is not shared, transferred, or disclosed to third parties, except:

  • Service providers (e.g. cloud hosting) who are contractually obligated to protect it and use it only to provide Sharkdom's services.
  • Legal compliance, where required by law.
  • Business transfers (merger/acquisition), with continued protection under this policy.

Data Retention & Deletion We only retain your data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. After this period, we securely delete or anonymize your data. If you would like to request data deletion, you can do so by contacting us at the address below.

Your Data Rights You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold on you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your data at any time.
